Altair is delighted to support National Trust Jersey through membership and also through volunteering.

In March we planted many whips, including blackthorn and oaks at the edges of fields in St Martin. We then went back a few months later to check on the saplings; weeding around them and ensuring they had space to grow and thrive. We were delighted to find that the vast majority had survived and were growing well. 

Hedgerows make a lasting improvement to our environment through carbon sequestration, enhancing biodiversity and soil enrichment; planting and maintaining hedgerows helps to protect Jersey's natural beauty and rich wildlife.
