Altair appoints Philip Braun as a Consultant
Independent directorship and governance consultancy services business, Altair, has appointed Phil Braun as a Client Director.
A qualified chartered accountant, Phil has over 25 years working in offshore financial services and has spent the last 16 years as the lead audit partner of the Jersey member firm of a global audit network. Before this he spent two years as the head of funds with an international fiduciary business, where he sat on the board of a number of fund entities, and prior to this he spent nine years with a big 4 audit firm in Jersey and Sydney.
His client base has predominantly consisted of investment funds – ranging from very private through to listed and covering both regulated to unregulated structures. His particular focus has been on private equity and real estate asset classes, however over the years his clients have included a whole spectrum of entities. Alongside these he has worked extensively with a broad selection of local regulated Fund and Trust Company businesses – both in terms of the corporate groups themselves, as well as many underlying clients.
Phil Braun commented ‘I am delighted to be joining Altair. The group is at a pivotal stage in its evolution with the growth in their successful and well-respected directorship business as well as further expansion in the regulatory compliance and operational consultancy services space. I am very much looking forward to bringing my years of experience to the fore in helping Altair and its clients to continue to grow’.
Julia Chapman, joint founder and partner of Altair, said ‘We are delighted that Phil has joined the Altair team at an important phase of our growth. Phil brings a unique and well-respected blend of technical and commercial experience that supports both our directorship and consultancy business.’
