Altair appoints Oliver McDowell as a Client Director
Independent directorship and governance consultancy services business, Altair, appoints Oliver McDowell as a Client Director.
Oliver joins Altair in support of the firm’s growth as he looks to expand his independent directorship client base and offer consultancy services focussing on the operational aspects of fund administration.
Oliver is an independent director having over 20 years of fund administration experience, predominantly investing in real estate and private equity. Until 2023, Oliver was an executive director, the deputy managing director and a shareholder of the Jersey office of a global fund administration business, whereby in the 12 months prior to joining Altair, he was focused solely on RE and PE client board directorships, which had been part of his duties since 2012.
Oliver has led a number of client relationships, from supporting first time fund managers to being the primary contact to established fund managers, where in his earlier career he was seconded as the main representative in Jersey to the general partner of a mid-cap PE fund.
He continues to hold Jersey and UK board positions on a variety of RE and PE structures in the regulated and unregulated space. Corporate governance, local compliance and regulation, industry knowledge and intermediary relationships is where Oliver can provide a real value add to boards. He is also fluent in French.
